1)Minnesota Permit to Carry a Pistol;also covers Florida and New Hampshire - This course follows Basic Pistol Shooting that teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. Included in this course is classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, two handed and one handed standing positions; Shooting around a barricade, cleaning the pistol; practice drills and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will learn the legal aspects of pistol possession, carry and use, including self defense and the restrictions on the use of deadly force.Instruction on the psychological and physiological effects of a violent threat encounter and simple weapons retention techniques. Students will receive a copy of Minnesota statutes and information on where to keep up with changes in Minnesota and Federal Laws.

2)Utah Concealed Firearm Permit - This course includes classroom and range time (Utah statutes do not require students to perform a live fire exercise, however, Saginaw Firearms requires all of its students to demonstrate proficiency in a live fire exercise to receive a completion certificate).Students will receive a copy of the Utah training curriculum at the beginning of the class. Each student will receive a copy of Utah laws and information on where to keep up with the changes in Utah and Federal Laws, a copy of Utah's Concealed Firearms Permit application (Stamped and certified), finger print card, and submission instructions.
